Privacy

What we keep

• Your account. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use the email address to recognise you when you sign in again and to reply to you. A guest account has no email or name at all and is meant to last 30 days.
• What you add. Your tanks, the fish in them, photos, notes, water readings and log entries, and any sensor data you connect.
• Your rough location, only if you give it. To sort stores by distance, you can share your location. We round it to about 10 km and never store an address.
• Suggestions and photos you send us, along with your reply thread.
• A simple activity list (for example “joined”, “made a tank”, “shared a tank”). Our staff use it to see how the site is used and to fix problems.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one keeps you signed in, and one protects forms from forgery. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there’s no cookie banner.

Who can see it

• Private by default. Only you can see your tanks. When you share a tank, other people see that tank and the display name and city you chose.
• Our small team can see accounts and activity so they can run the site and answer suggestions.
• Google or Facebook know that you used them to sign in here. Their own privacy policies apply to them.
• Nobody else. We don’t sell, rent or trade your information. We would hand it over only if Canadian law required us to.

Your choices

• You can delete any of your tanks at any time from Your tanks.
• You can change your display name, city and leaderboard setting on your profile.
• To get a copy of your information, correct it, or have your account and everything in it deleted, ask us at sean@treefrog.ca or through Suggest an improvement. We’ll do it within 30 days.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date below. If the change is a big one, we’ll tell signed-in members.
